The network agency windcomm schleswig-holstein is a project run by the Business Corporation of North Frisia GmbH (lead partner). windcomm’s project partners are the Investment Bank Schleswig-Holstein, the Business Development Association for Brunsbüttel (egeb), Kiel’s Business Promotion and Structural Development Corporation (KiWi) and the Business Development Association for the district of Rensburg-Eckernförde.
windcomm cooperates with numerous institutions in Schleswig-Holstein, including the Universities Centre of Excellence for the wind energy sector, CEwind, the Business Development and Technology Transfer Corporation of Schleswig-Holstein (WTSH), Husum  Trade Fair and the Education Centre for Renewable Energies (BZEE).

windcomm schleswig-holstein is sponsored by the European Fund for Regional Development (EFRE) through the Future Strategies Programme for Business Development and by the state of Schleswig-Holstein.

Since March 2010 windcomm schleswig-holstein e. V. has been supporting the work of the network agency. Wind energy sector businesses from all stages of Schleswig-Holstein’s value added chain are to be found organised under the auspices of windcomm schleswig-holstein e. V., whose goal it is to provide expertise for the agency, as well as financial support for the agency’s activities.
